Hometown Heroes: Honoring veteran customers and associates over the years

Since its founding 100 years ago, Lowe’s has operated with a service mindset. Not just for its customers, but for every member of the United States military and their families. 

Whether those service members are Lowe’s customers or our own associates, Lowe’s will continue to work with the military community to make sure our hometown heroes are honored and supported. Here’s a look back at some of the ways these service members have been recognized over the years:

One Lowe’s store in Willoughby, Ohio now gets to enjoy two associates for the price of one: combat veteran Travis Landchild and his service dog, Nightshade.

Korean War veteran, “The Flying Gunny”, is surprised with home renovations in Dallas, Texas after local nonprofits teamed up with Lowe’s.

Lowe’s celebrates Veterans Day by highlighting 10 service members and their families.

Lowe’s Heroes offer salvation for former rescue dogs and the veterans who need them, by helping build a dog training facility in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
