Lowe's employee uses sign language to connect with and assist deaf and hard of hearing customers.

As an associate at Lowe’s of Northeast Indianapolis, Gabriella Shattuck uses her hands in all sorts of ways.

She cuts blinds. She flips through pages of window treatments. She stocks decorative pieces onto shelves. But most importantly, she talks to customers with her hands.

No, really. She literally uses her hands to communicate with customers.
