The mission of Jubilee REACH is to bring healing, build community and transform the lives of the students and families in Bellevue. Its four pillars are: the public schools, the organization's community center, its thrift store and community-building events. This project will address safety issues with its existing playground and provide enhancements.

This project from focuses on playground safety for multiple reasons. The existing playground is located across from a busy street and next to both fire and police department entrances to the Municipal Building. Children must cross a busy street to enter the playground, and police and fire department emergency vehicles continuously come and go from the complex for emergency calls , which adds to the dangerous conditions. In addition, the playground is not ADA compliant or accessible, and it lacks proper fall protection surfacing under the playground equipment.

The City of North Wilkesboro would like to expand the community’s access to outdoor play and recreation through the installation of a new inclusive playground designed for ages two to 12, with additional play elements in the area for children under two to enjoy. This playground would be ADA-compliant with rubberized mulch and rubberized pour-in-place surfaces to create the site’s pad. The entrance to the playground also will have a dedicated resting place for caretakers, zones for parking strollers, and dedicated benches.
