The Greensboro Science Center hopes renovations will improve guest experiences and on-site animal welfare. The project includes replacing and staining rotting boards in most of its viewports, replacing and staining the facade of its hornbill exhibit, improving areas for tortoise and crocodile displays and building a small, open-air shade canopy.

Guadalupe River Park Conservancy

Harbor House

Harbor House is a 68-bed shelter facility that houses victims of domestic abuse. The organization seeks to create a separate space for sexual assault advocacy and victim services. While there is much overlap with domestic violence and sexual assault, it is not always connected. Keeping these two programs separate but under the same roof is crucial to serving victims at every level of their individual needs.

Historic Elitch Theatre

Historic Elitch Theater would like to complete two projects on the exterior of the theatre: painting the fly building and pouring a concrete patio. The fly building is over 65-years old and the gray cinderblock has never been painted. Some damage occurred on the West side of the building and was covered with boards. The project would help the theater become an aesthetically pleasing part of the neighborhood.

Hope Haven in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a Therapeutic Community that provides a foundation of recovery for individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder, so they can build healthy independent lives. The organization currently occupies a former Holiday Inn Complex built in the 1960s.

They hope to renovate a recently purchased building to be a central community center that will anchor programs, services, and resources in the community.

Lowernine.org is dedicated to the long-term recovery of the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. To further its mission and enhance its capacity, lowernine.org is building a sustainable work-live headquarters in the L9W. The first floor will provide workspace, multi-functional education, gathering and community spaces for lowernine.org, partner nonprofits, and community members. The upper two levels will provide year-round, well-equipped, modern housing where visiting volunteers can live safely and comfortably, receive good meals and medical care, and experience a sense of community.
