Hope Haven in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a Therapeutic Community that provides a foundation of recovery for individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder, so they can build healthy independent lives. The organization currently occupies a former Holiday Inn Complex built in the 1960s. A 6,600 square foot conference center at the back of the property has fallen into disrepair and is currently used by Hope Haven for AA meetings, NA meetings, program graduations and staff meetings/trainings. Renovation plans include new flooring, drywall repair and fresh paint, new LED lighting and ceiling tiles, updating the restrooms, and replacing rusted exterior doors. The team hopes to also purchase AV equipment to allow for remote sessions and recorded events, and new furniture.
