Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services

Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services would like to complete its Mala O Kaluaopalena Community Garden project to create an outdoor classroom space, outhouse, and 10 raised garden beds to support hands-on garden activities, cultural programming and health education for Pacific Islander youth, families and patients. Activities on site include hands-on gardening activities for youth, cultural education focused on Native Hawaiian and Pacific Island storytelling, and crafts, family strengthening education programs for Pacific Islander parents, domestic violence and peer counseling, and nutrition/ diabetes education.
