Great Lakes Community Conservation Corps

Great Lakes Community Conservation Corps runs the Cooperative Companion Gardening Initiative, created to increase fresh produce available to older military veterans with functional and access challenges. This project would provide free at-home raised bed gardens and consultation, installation and regular maintenance and harvesting assistance from veteran volunteers and local youth. The garden project offers veterans a chance to share their military experiences and life history, wisdom and advice with younger generations about living a positive and healthy lifestyle.
