An organization that created a building and trades skills course at the local technical college needs support to complete their Mobile Bus Shop which will serve as a Construction Academy. Housed in a former school bus, the hands-on mobile classroom will expand their reach and bring construction skills education to younger generations at area secondary schools and other youth-centered organizations in the town.

Former NFL player and 3x Super Bowl champ Matt Light will roll-up his sleeves and work alongside young high school students, training them to build a covered bridge. This instructional and hands-on learning experience will introduce young people to the age-old craft of timber frame construction and teach them to work collaboratively while creating a permanent structure that betters the community.

A job acceleration program that provides on-the-job training for adults with intellectual disabilities is seeking assistance in completing construction on its operational hub where they offer training in 30 different job skills—from restaurants to animal care and help patrons find meaningful employment.

NFL star Travis Kelce's foundation, Eighty-Seven & Running, is supporting Operation Breakthrough and the completion of its new learning space, Ignition Lab. More than 700 urban Kansas City children from infants to teenagers come to Operation Breakthrough each weekday for nutritious food, lively learning, health and dental care, therapy and TLC, while their parents work or attend school.
