From Washington state to Washington D.C. – communities across the country are finding out their biggest hometown projects are getting some much-needed support from Lowe’s. Based on the success of the 100 Hometowns campaign last year, the company launched Lowe’s Hometowns, with 2022 serving as the first year of a five-year, $100 million commitment to the communities Lowe’s serves.
The goal of Lowe’s Hometowns is to help restore and revitalize spaces that serve as the hubs and heartbeats of U.S. communities, including neighborhood housing, parks, community centers and so much more. Work on each of these projects will take place between July and November of this year, but the impact on those communities can already be felt. Just watch the reaction of some of the recipients as they found out their hometown projects were chosen to receive a grant:
One hundred projects were selected across 40 states and Washington D.C. and range from improving first responder facilities to restoring and upgrading community centers.
Lowe’s is also bringing in some star power to help support and share Lowe’s Hometowns by partnering with the Lowe’s Home Team, and design expert and Emmy-nominated TV host Bobby Berk, who is serving as the Lowe’s Hometowns ambassador.
