Lowe’s teamed up with The Ellen Show to surprise Rockport-Fulton High School with a $1M donation to rebuild their gym after it was destroyed by a hurricane.

In August of 2017, the city of Rockport, Texas was hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. It destroyed homes, businesses, and the local high school’s gym. Rockport-Fulton High School’s volleyball team was devastated. They viewed their gym as a second home where they spent most of their afternoons, and after the hurricane, the team’s special moments were in jeopardy.

So, Lowe’s and The Ellen Show teamed up to spread the team’s story and help rebuild the gym. Lowe’s Heroes from nearby stores will volunteer and help provide a safe and healthy gym through a $1M commitment – the largest gift Ellen has ever announced on her show!
