The severe weather destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses across multiple states and dozens of deaths were reported. Making matters even harder for those in the storms’ paths, the COVID-19 pandemic has complicated how residents can receive assistance or begin cleanup efforts, due to current social distancing guidelines.

As Lowe’s continues to support its communities during times of crisis and natural disaster, dozens of associates across the multiple states still found ways to serve those who need it most.

In Tennessee, a dozen associates from a Chattanooga Lowe’s delivered 350 boxed lunches to first responders. The volunteers also delivered 650 boxed lunches to a local YMCA, where National Guard members went into communities impacted by the recent tornado. Four boxed lunches and bottled waters were placed into individual Lowe’s buckets for delivery to families.
