From plants to paint, associates share their favorite products sold in stores
Whether you’re a regular DIYer or a tried-and-true Pro customer, if you’ve made more than a few trips to Lowe’s, chances are you have your favorites…
Maybe it’s a beloved Craftsman wrench or a waterproof laminate flooring you swear by.
And when you find a product you love, it’s hard not to recommend it to others. It’s no different for the Lowe’s red vest associates who stock and sell the roughly 34,000 products found in a typical Lowe’s store. We walked the aisles with a few associates to find out some of their favorite products to recommend, sell and even buy for themselves:
Red Vest Favorites:
“I’m a drills person, so Kobalt is my favorite. I like all the Kobalt drills, so I can’t just pick one. I just collect drills and I use them around the house for simple things. The 24-Volt has more torque than any other drill in here so that’s my favorite quality and it holds up. It’s worth it’s five-year warranty.” – Deco Wilson
“My favorite product is the Swiffer Sweeper XL Dry and Wet Jet because I just got new tile floors and it’s really helpful just to run across it really quickly or if I want to do a major clean, I can put the wet jet on there and it does a great job. I used to use a mop and a broom. This is a lot easier, it’s just great for quick clean-ups.” – Tracy Brown
“The Bosch Rotary Hammer. It’s really awesome, it punches through almost any concrete I’ve seen it have to deal with and it doesn’t have the overheating problems you’ll see with some of the other brands. I used it around the house running cable for our electrical, I’ve also used it to punch holes in the carport we did last year. Definitely one I’d recommend.” -Ulrich Matthis
“The garden center is my favorite. I like the native plants that we’re starting to sell more and more of because I think it’s important to focus on our native plants. We offer them at a reasonable price. I’m a sucker for them, whenever they come – I buy! This (pictured) is a heuchera, it’s a native American plant, it loves the shade and I have a lot of shade in my yard. It’s drought-tolerant and it’s fairly hearty so it’s evergreen too, so it’s a good all-around plant. And I like that it has pretty flowers in the springtime and throughout the summer. “ -Brenda VanVleet
“My favorite product is this pearl signature paint that we have in the store. It looks great when you put it up on crown molding. The wider the molding, the better it looks and it makes your house look really special, it really does. Oh, and you can add color to it, you can put any color you want in it – but personally, I like it white. That’s what’s in my house.” – Bob Barboza
