Every year, eight million metric tons of plastic enter the oceans. Bloem, a company that manufacturers planters, created a 100 percent recycled product that offers a lifetime of reuse. It’s called The Ocean Series.

Bloem launched The Ocean Series exclusively at Lowe’s, and this combined effort will utilize more than a million pounds of plastic waste – 25 percent reprocessed material from marine waste and 75 percent curbside waste.

In this segment of How It’s Made, Lowe’s takes you behind the scenes at one of Bloem’s manufacturing facilities in Apopka, Florida to see how The Ocean Series is made.

Check out other videos in the Lowe’s How’s It’s Made series to learn how other products purchased at Lowe’s are created.
