From mattresses to manure, check out these less-predictable home improvement products sold at Lowe’s
When you walk into your local Lowe’s, chances are you already know it’s a home improvement store. But Lowe’s also sells plenty of things that might not immediately come to mind when you think of home renovation or repairs. Check out these five items you may not realize you can buy from Lowe’s:
KIMCHI FRIDGE
Lowe’s sells two different models of a kimchi fridge, built specifically to “adjust temperatures to enhance and increase the production of lactic acid bacteria that are key to fermented foods.”
So if you’re serious about your traditional Korean side dish cuisine made from salted and fermented vegetables, look no further!
MATTRESS
Lowe’s covers walls, floors, electrical, paint and decor for the room you sleep in. Why not provide the thing you sleep on as well?
Shop here to see what Lowe’s offers or if you happen to be in a select number of stores, you can flip through a catalog in the aisle. You could also take a Tufts & Needles mattress-in-a-box home. Unfortunately, mattresses are not available to test out.
PORTABLE BIDET
Does this one really need explaining? The description for this product on lowes.com pretty much sums it up: For everyone’s personal hygiene.
Hey – personal hygiene on-the-go is important, and Lowe’s has you covered.
XEROGRAPHICA
It may not sound like it, but this is actually a plant. The xerographica is an air plant, which means it doesn’t need soil to grow. It only requires a light misting once a week. It can be put in a bowl or even set out on a desk or bookshelf.
MANURE
If you’re going to buy plants, shrubbery, trees, and grass seed just to name a few things… Lowe’s might as well help you find the product that helps it grow au naturale.
Manure is sold in well over 1,000 Lowe’s stores. A lot of regional brands stock most of these locations. Don’t worry, it’s bagged, and made of mostly cow and chicken manure.
And there you have it. Five items that you may not think of when you think “home improvement”. But Lowe’s is here to help you improve your home, and your life, in as many ways as possible. Even with the strange stuff.
