Renovate the Community Shelter
A shelter for women and children that provides housing, education, employment, health care access and more seeks assistance in fixing a portion of the shelter that has structural problems.
Why It Matters
Many come to Ariel Outreach Mission having fallen on hard times, but they are provided with shelter, food, clothing, hygiene kits, computer training, mental health assessments and social service referrals and more to help lighten the load. Ariel Outreach Mission has served over 400,000 individuals and their family members since 1982. This non-profit organization is all volunteer-based.
The Impact
“This Renovation Project is not just important to me but to the entire community,” said Nadine Scott, owner of Ariel Outreach Mission. "This shelter has been helping women and children for the past 25 years in this location. Many have arrived with just the clothes on their backs, and the Ariel Shelter has been available to help women and their children receive permanent housing, education, life and work skills, employment, health care access, and so much more.”
