New City Hall renovations
The city of Brownsville seeks to renovate a historic bank building and transform it into a new City Hall that will become a community hub that is vibrant, open, and create a sense of pride in the community.
Why It Matters
These renovations will create a sense of pride for a vital public space - City Hall. It will put the needs of the citizens’ first, adding community spaces to house shared resources and host more spacious public meetings. The goal is for this to be a building that will inspire future generations.
The Impact
"We desire to create a structure that will unify the community," wrote Brownsville Mayor William D. Rawls, Jr. "This future hub will further – not hamper – the development of our city. Moreover, this project will better connect Brownsville with City Hall."
