LINK Updates
An emergency services center that serves more than 26,000 people per year needs renovations to allow for increased storage capacity of essential goods and household items while also paving the way for increased productivity.
Why It Matters
LINK encounters an increasing number of elderly/medically fragile, homeless and formerly homeless, developmentally delayed, veterans and all persons who fall at or below the poverty level.
The Impact
“The building is in desperate need of a facelift to better showcase what LINK is and what we can offer to any person who is in need of assistance,” wrote project nominator and LINK executive director Lynne Finding. “I was homeless and in need of emergency services in my life. LINKs emergency services provide food, clothing, furniture and household items as well as winter and year-round shelter support.”
