Holmes Tuttle Clubhouse
A Boys & Girls Club nestled in a low-income neighborhood seeks to renovate and update an older clubhouse which is worn from daily use so it can continue to operate as a safe place for children to meet and socially interact while promoting unity among neighborhood residents.
Why It Matters
The club is an anchor for the community at large, serving as a resource for area schools, associations and other groups who host their own community-wide events and programs at the club.
The Impact
“I myself am a Club kid and without BGC I wouldn’t be the person I am today,” wrote VP of club operations and project nominator Karin Malbrough. “When I see our members, I see me, and I know the importance of a safe space and creating opportunities for youth to thrive.”
